The American Youth Soccer Organization (AYSO) is a non-profit organization founded in 1964. This organization promotes fitness, good sportsmanship, self-esteem and teamwork in our youth between the ages of 4 and 18 years. By offering them a fun after-school and weekend activity, AYSO gives our youth a positive place to direct boundless energy.

Across the county thousands of kids play AYSO soccer. In our local Region 322 alone, there are more than 1000 kids playing AYSO soccer in the community of Jefferson County. These players participate in several different programs and events throughout the season.

Our region will be hosting one such event this year. On the weekend of June 21-22, 2008 our region will host the Jefferson County Youth Soccer Potomac Cup Tournament. This tournament will provide the opportunity for approximately 42 teams (over 600 players, coaches and volunteers) to play additional soccer. It will also help raise funds to maintain our field equipment and for new soccer fields.

That’s where you can help. We will have significant costs to host such an event, and your contribution will help to defray those costs allowing us to direct most of the proceeds to the intended purpose. Your tax-deductible monetary contribution will be very much appreciated.
